Razor sharp right out of the box. I used it to chop and slice frozen smoked pork jowel into bacon strips. It was effortless. I got a kick out of the belt loop on the sheath. Good luck keeping your pants up!
I got this knife yesterday as a Christmas present and promptly used it out of the box. It is extremely sharp! It looks great also. I would highly recommend it to anyone. However, I was less than impressed with the sheath. I inadvertently attempted to place the knife in the sheath the wrong way and the knife cut through the leather stitching. I know that was my fault but still it could be manufactured too be more durable.
The knife looks amazing and very sharp.
